I notice GSM and Basis Weight specifications on your paper bags, can you explain this?
I notice that the paper bags I bought from you are ripping unexpectedly. Is there any advice?
- Overloading: Paper bags have a weight limit, and if you put too many heavy items in them, they can rip. It's important to make sure you don't overload the bag beyond its capacity. When in doubt, double the bag.
- Sharp edges: Sharp or pointed objects can puncture the paper bag, causing it to tear or rip.
- Moisture: Paper bags are not waterproof, and if they get wet or damp, they can become weak and tear easily. Colour from wet paper bags can bleed onto products, be careful when wet.
- Rough handling: If a paper bag is handled roughly, such as being thrown or dropped, it can cause the bag to rip.Overall, paper bags are not as durable as plastic bags, so it's important to use them appropriately and handle them with care to prevent rips or tears. We test all our paper bags that we sell for durability, but once out in your store we have no control over how you use them, or how much you load them up.
