These fasteners use 100% or 30% recycled polypropylene (rPP) derived from single-use take-out containers. The environmental benefits created by using these tagging fasteners can be impactful.
• An outer container of 30% fasteners reduces the landfill by more than 2.97 lbs (1.346kg) of single-use plastic take-out containers. This increases to 9.18 lbs. (4.16kg) when purchasing 100% fasteners.
• Customers using over 100 million of 30% fasteners annually can reduce the landfill load by as much as 3,260lbs (1,478 kg) of plastic take-out containers annually, increasing to 10,860 lbs. (4,926kg) when purchasing 100% recycled content fasteners.
Brands and retailers can utilize existing tools to apply these new recycled fasteners. The rPP fasteners are designed to maximize our recycled content while maintaining the product performance customers need. The fasteners meet the same specifications as our virgin fasteners, including our production parameters. Maintaining the same production processes ensures that customers can get all the benefits of using recycled content without any carbon emission increase in production.
